Printing Industries of America (PIA) is seeking innovative print and graphic communications technologies for the 2020 InterTech Technology Awards. The annual competition hosted by PIA honors groundbreaking technologies set to alter the way companies provide services and produce jobs.

Manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and software are encouraged to enter by July 31, 2020, with an entry discount available through May 29, 2020. While fees must be paid by the early-bird deadline to receive a discounted rate, entrants have until the July deadline to submit their application.

“Our goal is to highlight the technologies that are likely to have a significant impact on our industry,” said Jim Workman, Vice President, Technology and Research at Printing Industries of America.

Since the inception of the awards in 1978, hundreds of InterTech-awarded technologies have changed print and graphic communications workflows and efficiencies. From software enhancements, to prepress and beyond, there are few areas of the print and graphic communications process that have not been improved by a past InterTech recipient.

Honorees receive the InterTech Lucite Star and recognition among industry peers. Additionally, they are featured in industry publications, news releases, and conference presentations. Due to the shifting nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision to hold an awards gala and details regarding the distribution of awards to honorees will be determined at a later date.
